The Cordoba Initiative (CI) is currently offering internship opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, and recently graduated students.

At the very start of their tenure with CI, interns will be given serious responsibilities, and immediately begin to participate in tasks that require collaborative efforts across the selected intern group as well as full-time employees.

The CI internship program provides young professionals with the opportunity to gain substantive work experience in a fast-paced, high-profile NGO.

“My internship with the Cordoba Initiative expanded my intellectual horizons beyond my expectations. It was an excellent lesson in the intricacies of sociopolitical relations.”

– Ali, Cordoba Initiative intern,
September 2011 – June 2012

General Information

Internships are offered at CI during the fall, spring, and summer semesters and last for roughly 10 weeks (though they can be extended further). Depending on the position and particularly for the summer internship period, interns are expected to work full weeks, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an allotted hour for lunch break. Academic credit may be awarded only if an agreement has been made between the organizations and the intern’s college or university. All interns are subject to the applicable CI employee rules. All internships are unpaid.

Specific qualifications vary by position, but interns should be registered at an undergraduate institution, enrolled in a graduate program, or be a recent college graduate.
